If anyone is familiar with this company or stock I would love to get their thoughts on the recent down-turn in stock price despite continual positive announcements. Most recently the expansion of their 'Home Run Project' which saw production volumes increase 300% and yet the stock dropped another 8% today to 9.2cents. I was lead to understand that Alto's operation is similar to THK - TOMAHAWK ENERGY LIMITED and yet THK is trading around 65cents??? Any advice/information about this stock would be really appreciated.
Many thanks.

A quick generalised question about this share.

When you see an ann like: http://www.altoenergy.com.au/documents/379.pdf

Is that generally a good thing? Meaning that if a bank sees fit to loan money or become a substantial holder it's a good sign management knows what they are doing?

MBL is also a substantial shareholder and Argo Investments who have given a 2.5 million loan facility. Director also owns 13%, looks tightly held.

Yes, but is that generally a good thing when you see a name brand investing in it? Or is it just a useless piece of info?

Of course it is good, look at the huge buy orders.

Hi folks,

AOI ... looking mostly negative, until early May 2007,
with the following time cycles coming into play:

February 2007:

09022007 ... 2 difficult cycles ... in one word
... deception???

12022007 ... short-lived rally here???

13022007 ... significant and negative ... finances??

March-April 2007:

From 05032007-to-27042007 there's mostly negative
cycles for AOI, particularly around 09-12032007 and
04042007 ... :(

May 2007:

02052007 ... significant and negative.

07052007 ... significant and positive news
expected here.

11052007 ... positive light on AOI here

happy days

Many thanks Yogi, appreciate your efforts.

Looks like you may be wrong with BLR though, no negative news yet, but you may be a few days out so we will see.

Announcement released this morning. Drilling update, plus an announcement that a gas contract has been signed for Reed.

Drilling times have been consistent over the three wells, at 400-450ft per day (assuming 7 day week). So Conoco should be complete in the next day or so and Pate in the next 7-8 days.

Additionally the time frames for Reed outlined in the ann of 12 April have been met. I really like the AOI management's simple, concise announcements.

So, this may be the start of a number of announcements over the next week or two, as drilling on Conoco and Pate is completed, and (hopefully) sale contracts negotiated.

Yogi your timeframes look good, well done! Looking forward to a good month for AOI!
