Well, it was a terrific Festivus this year. I went down to the tile store on Festivus eve looking for new tiles for the ensuite and ran into an old friend. After chatting to her for a while I got round to mentioning the floor tiles I was looking for.

She pointed me to the back of the store where there were some lovely 450x450mm rectified tiles just perfect for my application. There were only 14m2 of them and again that was the quantity I needed. It was indeed a Festivus miracle.

I went to the local shopping mall last night and got a car park right in front of the entry to the escalator!!!

Pole Position!!!

I went this morning and while not the pole position I was on the 2nd row, & within about 10 seconds of driving in. I was reluctant to leave it was so good.
 
Had planned to do the last minute shop early this morning, but as so often happens, plans changed. Can't blame the grandkids this time - it was something else.

I eventually got to there after lunch and had expected to park a long way from the shops being so late. Anyhow I decided to try closer first. Amazingly, someone pulled out right in front of me in one of the best spots possible.

Then the shops were like a zoo. I needed some coleslaw and bread rolls from Woolies. There were just 4 packets of bread rolls left (I needed 2). Thought they had run out of coleslaw and then found one lonely container at the back. I only needed one!

I placed an order about a month ago to sell some shares at set price. The next day my order got nudged and I sold about $80.00 worth... the brokerage on Etrade was debited against that. The price eased for a few days... weeks... geez my expiry date is about up... I know, I'll adjust the sell order and that will extend the expiry date.

This morning the stock rose with gusto and completed my order.
 
Yesterday I baked - not something I do often. The miracle is that everything I attempted turned out beautifully My kids will be tearing around the house on a mad sugar high by 4pm - just in time to drive the oldies crazy - as it should be
