I don’t know for sure, but I reckon on average retirees spending would be supporting enough economic activity in Australia to offset the medical costs, I mean even some of the medical costs are recovered through taxation on the wages etc of the the medical staff.To send 100% of a retirees spending off shore, just to reduce the cost of their medical bills, if probably not a net win.
