Hi! Newbie on the market.. Just learned about looking at advance/decline and new high and lows info to gauge market sentiments. Quick question to see what interpretations are. Currently advancing stocks trump declining, and up vol trumps down vol. However, more stocks are hitting new low than high! Any suggestion why this may be so and how to view it?

Common in sell offs
As stock is liquidated volumes will increase
The key is to look at the next few days to be able to tell if what your seeing is buying or selling volume
If the following days straight after high volume up days are down---then the up day was hidden selling--- if price continues to rise then it's buying
