does active investing work?
as in hoarding all the money you can during a boom & maxing ur loans
then investing it all into shares when it crashes..

do this by identifying trends and etc

or am i being a giant noob?

Could you clarify what you mean with "hoarding all the money you can during a boom....."?
If you are hoarding cash, aren't you standing aside while watching the market rise?
How will you determine when the 'crash' is over and the time is right to buy?

Perhaps I've misunderstood what you're asking.

i guess you miss out a bit
but isnt it the same if you can't tell where a crash is, you cant tell when the boom is

but hoarding i mean just save. you make up for the losses you *miss* in the boom with the gain when you buy stocks in the crash?
