A six inch cup for golf, currently 4 & 1/4 inches

What's everyones thoughts on this??? Ultimately I realise whatever discussion I generate from this will make no difference whatsoever but I need to make 'posts' so as to qualify for the tipping contest. My points for the idea are;
-it would make golf quicker;
-it would take the emphasis away from one aspect of the game;
-it may (probably would) rid the sport of long putters;
-it would make golf a better spectator sport.

What about fixing them up to be sold as coffee mugs to those 'traditionalist' golfers that want to keep the game exactly as it is.
