Former Wallabies fullback Greg Martin caused a stir when he said the haka should be banned, but foxsports.com.au users have rejected the notion - instead calling for the Wallabies to find their own war cry.

Pick your squad for the chance to win awesome prizes!
"I am just a little disappointed that we have nothing to offer back, and as such we are just standing there," Gavin of Horsam commented in response to Martin's call to scrap the haka.

Martin feels that the NZ are gaining an "unfair advantage" after the anthems are sung, but the community of fans on foxsports.com.au reckon we can find a way to help the Wallabies get their own back in the minutes leading up to kick-off.

I must say, that the Scots have stolen the march on the Aussies... the ultimate Haka riposte:

When the Kiwis start up the haka, the Aussies should get straight into their warm up routine; stretches and drills, etc, get into position, have a pep talk. Ignore it all as if it was even happening. Man that would be hilarious.

Dishonourable - and would fire the ABs up even more. Not a good idea after the Wallabies were corn-holed in the Bledisloe.

You want something to frighten the bejezuz out of the ABs, like the Haka is designed to do.

Aussies did have a haka a longggg time ago, the 'kangaroo hop' or something. Yes it was as lame as it sounds.

Even more disrespectful would be to watch the haka, then when they're finished, applaud and hoot and laugh!

Can you imagine how crazy they would go?! :p: Might put them off their game. :p:

Just once...for laughs. Gamesmanship and all that,

Ignoring the haka is a tactic sometimes used by opposing teams. Famously, the Australian rugby team did a warm up drill well away from the All Blacks during their 1996 Test Match in Wellington and went on to suffer their worst ever loss against the All Blacks (43-6).[9] More recently, the Italian rugby team ignored the haka during a 2007 World Cup Pool Match, and the All Blacks then went on to beat them 76 - 14. All Black team member, Keven Mealamu, said later that the snub had backfired and provided motivation to his team

Aussies need to worry more about playing then poo pooing the haka. As a response to the haka, how about not losing:D

Excuse my feelings, but haka gets on my nerves and I honestly think that it has no room in sporting activities.

However if NZ antics are so acceptable they deserve reply from other sporting teams, as it is now they have to endure hostile dance with unfriendly gestures.

Edit:
Maybe moonlighting would be a good start and equally unfriendly if not better.

Well said.

Imagine the Wimbledon final. Players come out, warm up, national anthem and all that. Just before the umpire says "play", everyone has to come to a standstill while Federer gives his opponent the bird and spits at him, then does a little dance to formalize it. That's basically what the All Blacks think is acceptable in their little dance.
