Greetings

I'm an intra-day SPI futures trader and my trading system is largely manual. I use Excel 2003 for my spreadsheet - I've given up on Excel 2007 - and hand draw a 5-minute swing chart with my own indicators. I desperately need to have my swing chart computerised and to have it pick up its data from my spreadsheet.
I've tried several programmers but with no success to date: they're either too busy with current work or too expensive.
Would anyone have any contacts who might be able to undertake this project?

Thank you in advance

Interesting.

I'm curious as to why you would want to plot your own charts using excel. Seems a very hard way of doing things. Can't get what you want using a data feed and something like AmiBroker?

You should be able to find a coder at Traders Laboratory that can do the work for you.

I’d suggest having a look at http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/

BTW, congratulations! manually drawing your own indicators, you must be a very patient, an attribute of a good trader.

Hi RazzaDazzla

It's just that I've created my own system with an Excel spreadsheet being used to record and calculate the results of the data I feed into it. I've used a manual swing chart for years and just thought that if it could be computerised and pick up the data from the Excel spreadsheet, life would be so much easier for me.
I use the webIress data feed and charting software provided by my broker, but nothing comes even close to the accuracy and reliability of my old manual system.

Best regards and thanks for your interest

Hi Tanaka

Many thanks for your suggestion, and I'll follow it up. I'm getting a bit old to be doing all this manual work but it is so reliable and I have never found anything that will match it or come close. This is not a boast; just a fact. I've been doing it for 12 years or more but I am slowing down and burning out.

I'll let you know how I get on with traderslaboratory.com/forums.

Best regards
