Hi,
I have 3 queries around the closing auction and how the share price is affected by orders placed during this phase, please see the below image -
The first query is, using the above screenshot as an example if I put on a buy order at $0.027 for the amount of units on the sellers side at $0.026 & $0.027 (149871 units), and assuming (chi-x data being exempt) no other orders were placed on either the buy or sell side, the price would close at $0.027, correct?
Second query - Let's assume there is another line on the seller side at $0.025 and there is 300,000 volume on this line. Taking into account the buy order already on the buyers side for 37,000 units at $0.025, if I placed another buy order for 200,000 units at $0.027, and there were no other orders added to either side, the price once the market closed, would be $0.025, with 63,000 units left on the line, correct?
Third query - Let's assume the same scenario as above is in place, there is 300k on the seller side @ $0.025 with one buyer on the buyer side for 37k units. Let's also assume the seller(s) on the $0.026 line have made a volume of 400,000 units available. If I placed an order at a price limit of $0.027 for 400,000 units, and there were no other buyers or sellers added for the day, the order I placed would execute and purchase 263k units at $0.025 and 137k units at $0.026, leaving the last traded price for the day at $0.026, correct?
Any response would be appreciated.
