@barney Another sad story!!!
maybe run with @brerwallabi and @barney 's tips, just no prize money@brerwallabi Perhaps sweet talk Mick and offer a brown paper bag to sweeten the deal!!
Appreciate the thought DF. To be honest I'll probably have more input from the sidelines giving "advice" (using that word loosely!
It's a shame that you have missed the cut.Will sit the comp out and watch with interest, good luck all.
It is a shame that you and @brerwallabi missed the cut and your splendid attitude towards the Comp is to be applauded. I would not be averse to not complaining were you both allowed to be late entrants. It is not my decision and equally I would not complain were you not allowed to enter.Nah its all good Farmer ..... I have stuff going on like everyone else, and just missed the deadline ...... Realistically, given my last 12 months performance, I am fortunate I didn't subject myself to another 12 months of potential humiliation.. .., lol.
Good luck to all competitors.

Crikey! I'm Holding 3 of the top 4 today
@Garpal Gumnut I did suggest that perhaps contacting the esteemed organiser of the Comp , and approach on bended knee, plead their case and with an outstretched hand and brown paper bag in said hand, hope for an entry to be granted.It is a shame that you and @brerwallabi missed the cut and your splendid attitude towards the Comp is to be applauded. @mullokintyre It's a pity that your generous offer wasn't taken up.Just so everyone stops prodding me, Sean K and a few others PM'd me about how I felt about letting in some late entries.
I have no problem with that, the more the merrier.
So I PM'd some of those who admitted being late, but each of them declined for various reasons, all of which I perfectly understand.
If there is any one else out there who did not get an entry in, I would be happy to put late entries to a vote of participants.

Nice job @mullokintyre, like the inclusion of the start pricesAt great cost to the management, I present the final list of the 28 participants in the 2025 Full year Tipping Competition.
If you see any errors, let me know and I will attempt fix them (attention @Garpal Gumnut ).
Good luck and send any complaints to Whingers@Idontcare.org

@Sdajii Good points and I rescind my earlier posts to perhaps allow latecomers in.I actually commend the people for not taking up the offer of late inclusion. By all means have an unofficial latecomers category or something, but it cheapens the competition and result if the rules are broken in this way. Since the yearly competitions started I've missed more than I've successfully entered (and done badly in the ones I've entered and will probably do badly this year too, haha!) but have never wanted to cheapen the competition by being included against people who got in on time, with me having an advantage over them, it just wouldn't have felt right.
Or, hey, allow everyone to repick and start the competition in February (though I guess that would be unfair to the people currently doing well... I'm in the red so that's not me!). It's not a big deal, I don't much care, but if you're going to do something, do it properly, or as properly as possible. If others can enter now, anyone already entered should be able to repick their choices too. I'd definitely make some changes at this point if I could, but it's better to let the people who are stomping me continue to stomp me according to their good choices which were made on time.
I believe you need to post the reasons and progress of your picks in their respective threads @bigdog this month and every month until the end of the year. I’ve also suggested you mention @mullokintyre tag so’s he is alerted that you’ve done it to make it easier for him.BOE BOSS ENERGY LTD FPO

PPT PERPETUAL LIMITED FPO
The demerger may not happen, CT & WM are good businesses which are growing, have relatively stable earnings, and are cash generative. Secondly, the new CEO Bernard Reilly has made it a priority to address the cost base. Clarity about costs should start to see forecasts rising. Thirdly, the shares are unloved and undervalued, with the asset management business having an implied valuation of 4.5-5.5x EBITDA.
