2025 Full Year Stock Tipping Competiton

Finally able to lodge my entries for 2025 comp.

My selections are:

BRN
RAC
OCC and my newbie
SMN

I had a strong belief in my selections last year and feel so confident in them that the 3 eligible choices are in the race again.

I was not able to select IMU again this year as it was below .10 cents, however I still believe it will be at least a 3 X multiplyer this year as trials are starting to come together.

I have been sweating on whether I would be able to include SMN as, after a number of weeks not getting there, it today finally reached the trading figure of $100,000 over a 5 day period.

5 day trading was :
3/1 50,349 shares,
6/1 46,236
7/1 21,210
8/1 77,857
9/1 36,883

Total 232,535 @ .47c =$109,291

As mentioned previously, my selections are long term investments in my SMSF so may not be ideal for a number of people on this site.

The book '100 Baggers' by Christopher Meyer made me think a bit about my investment process and where and how all these large companies started. It can be a slow trip with a lot of ups and downs but I am happy with the ones I have selected.

For 2025 I am choosing

TLG FMG BRN MTM

At some stage, hopefully soon, Talga will announce off take arrangements and complete financing for their Anode project.
FMG has been absolutely bollocked this year. I believe it is undervalued and will finish 2025 at least 15-20 % higher.
BRN has been a long term hopeful in the AI industry. I think it's time is coming in 2025
MTM has a great technology for extracting metals from waste and ore in a far more cost efficient way than traditional processes. Again I think 2025 will see this technology commercially proven and a great money spinner.

All in all what could possibly go wrong ?

Using the option of changing one stock selection, could I please change QOR to OPT for the 2025 full year stock tipping competition?

This would now make the four stocks selected to be the following:
LRK
OPT
ORG
SRG

Changed my mind on PIQ, can I have CSL instead?

am not so eager to do that this year , my 4 selections are NOT on my shopping list ( but last years selections were )

but good luck at either being hero or zero ( whichever you desire )

well most of my selections pay small( ish ) divs at currents prices .. but when i bought them ( in 2011 all 4 of them )

the returns aren't so pathetic ... except VAS !! ( somewhere around 7% or 8% per annum for VAS at my entry price )

now logic would say all my picks have run as far as they can , already ...... but have they

insane picks for an insane time ( is my logic )
 
@divs4ever, I couldn't figure out why you picked VAS for the competition under the new rules.

A good portion of the total return for an ASX300 tracking ETF is going to be dividends. Still, my picks might all be duds and you might end up looking pretty good with VAS.

...
......as it's now at $3.90, I was thinking of using my Get out of Jail card, and choose another stock. But which, and why?

EDIT: if @Ferret 's entry price is $3.90, then I will withdraw my entry CU6; in its place I'll nominate CU6 at today's price.
 
Entry prices will be the price at the close of trading on Friday, 10 January 2025.
