In all the wash up from the election it now appears that rural and regional Australia will be the big winners from the election result.

Taking away the upper middle class Green inner city nutter from Melbourne elected by his similar demographic voters, all the other non main party members of the Reps are backers of services for rural Australia.

Katter, Oakshott, Windsor, and Wilkie will all do their utmost to ensure a better deal for the disadvantaged non urban settlers and aboriginal communities of our nation.

These are not your machine men and women with tawdry platitudes, but fair dinkum real representatives of a forgotten people.

I have met all three former Nats as well as Wilkie, and believe them to be hardworking people of principle.

Health services, jobs and communication will flow out to where the real wealth of our nation lies.

That's how I see it also, and high time the bush got a fair go.

Wilkie is an interesting one, people are assuming he will be doctrinaire Green.

Hopefully, living in regional Tassie as he has lately, it will have bevelled off some of that absoluteism, as he sees for himself how devastating the Green ideology is to rural Australia.

Great result for the bush.

The stale hollow men of Labor and Libs need new viewpoints and ideas.

This is a great result for Australia.

I'd say a few years in the bush has taken all the Green gloss off him. He certainly sounded impressive on ABC tonight. Lets hope he gets over the line.

Yes, unfortunately the Hollowmen could inhabit any of the Libs or Labor, and not be noticed as being from the other side.

Authenticity is what we will see in a hung parliament.

Media reporting that Labor is ahead again in Denison, so Wilkie might be pipped at the post.
