The onetime French presidential hopeful is being strictly guarded by a company at a cost of about $200,000 a month.
While I have no respect for the man who has been playing in the shark pool for so long; I am in the 80/20 % opinion that he is being framed by French services (with or wo US help);
He did a runner. Left his mobile in his hotel room and was found on a Air-France plane, in First Class, outta there. Common on. I think that you have to admit, it looks shady on his behalf.
Here is another interesting story

Meanwhile, interior minister, Claude Guéant, said that France would be pressing the US to let DSK serve any jail time in France, if convicted.

EXCLUSIVE: Strauss-Kahn Told Maid 'Don’t You Know Who I Am?' During Alleged Sex Attack
Dominique Strauss-Kahn told a New York City hotel maid, “Don’t you know who I am! Don’t you know who I am?” while pinning her down during the alleged sexual assault, law enforcement sources close to the investigation told FoxNews.com.
.....Strauss-Kahn also made passes at two separate female concierges during his 24-hour stay. When he checked in, he grabbed and massaged the hand of the concierge and invited her to his room. She declined. Later on that night, Strauss-Kahn called downstairs and invited a different female concierge up to his room. “Come upstairs, I’ve got a beautiful room, a great bottle of wine.” That employee also declined the Frenchman’s advances, sources said.
Sources close to the maid described her as a model employee with a pristine work record who doesn’t drink or smoke and rushes home after work to take care of her children.
On Saturday, May 14, sources said the Sofitel hotel maid followed hotel protocol, knocking three times while yelling “housekeeping” at increasingly loud volume before finally ringing the doorbell. There was no answer from inside the room, and it was after noon checkout time. Sources said the former IMF chief now indicted on sexual assault charges did not request a late checkout and should not have been in his room, which he’d rented for one night.
Additionally, a room service employee cleared Strauss-Kahn’s room and found the room empty minutes before the maid entered. Investigators said they believe the man known as the “Great Seducer” may have intentionally hid from the room service employee, knowing that the maid would enter the room shortly after.

The French plan to aid and abet DSK in a Polanski/Rainbow Warrior scenario, covering all eventualities.
My contact Claude, ( not the Claude quoted below ) in the Quai D'Orsay tells me that a cross party committee is at work as we speak, to either spring him from Manhattan or to arrange his return to freedom in Paris by offering he serve his time in France if convicted.gg
Like the Rainbow Warrior bombers?
just in case you are even remotely interested with the truth,

and what is much more interesting the reasons behind but that will not be published in the courier mail
The woman was allegedly purposely assigned to the Midtown hotel by her union because it knew she would bring in big bucks.
"When you're a chambermaid at Local 6, when you first get to the US, you start at the motels at JFK [Airport]. You don't start at the Sofitel," the source said. "There's a whole squad of people who saw her as an earner."
The woman also had "a lot of her expenses -- hair braiding, salon expenses -- paid for by men not related to her," the source said.

I for one am sick, sick of the accusations flung about and at DSK.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office isn’t ready to dismiss sexual assault charges against former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn even after becoming aware of allegations his accuser was a prostitute, his top deputy said.
“We’re going to complete our investigation,” Daniel R. Alonso, chief assistant district attorney, said yesterday in an interview. “And we’re going to decide the responsible thing to do.”
There is no evidence to support a report by the New York Post, citing defense sources, that Strauss-Kahn’s accuser, a hotel housekeeper from Guinea, is a prostitute or targeted him for financial gain, Alonso said.
Prosecutors have done “everything by the book” in handling the case, Alonso said. The office’s investigation uncovered evidence that the 32-year-old woman had lied about key aspects of her life. Alonso declined to comment on whether she may be charged with perjury.
The tipping point, which led to Strauss-Kahn’s July 1 release from home confinement, may have been an interview with the accuser on June 9 in which she admitted that she had falsely claimed she had been gang-raped by solders in Guinea, prosecutors said.
ALLEGING "false" sexual assault claims had hampered his efforts to right the global economy, former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn yesterday claimed immunity from prosecution.
