Sayings that have become out of date

"Safe as money in the bank"

Maybe this one as well (?)
"The lucky country" (?)
(On second thoughts, I withdraw that as a candidate for this thread ! - we're super lucky in all the things that matter - maybe a good time to remember that too lol) :)

what about that dreadful childhood chant:

eany,meany,miney, moe
catch a ...... by the toe..
if he hollars let him go
eany,meany,miney,moe

I`m onto it ... :D

All good things come to those who short.
Don`t count your chickens if they are short.
It`s all over bar the shorting.
Money doesn`t buy happiness, but shorting does.
He who hesitates is short.
Getting the short end of the stick.

etc. etc.

"and Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty lived happily ever after" ..

lol My wife has some fiesty friends... one ofwhom sent her this email ;) ...

THE HAPPIEST FAIRY TALE EVER

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'

The girl said, 'NO!'

And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, drank whole bottles of wine, chatted for hours on the phone to friends, always had a clean house, watched chick flicks without feeling guilty, never had to cook, did whatever the hell she wanted, never argued, didn't get fat, didn't have to pay for dual view tv, travelled more, had a career, had many lovers, didn't save money, and had all the hot water to herself. She went to the theatre, never watched sports, owned every remote control in the house, never wore friggin lacy lingerie that went up her ass, had high self esteem, never cried or yelled, and felt and looked fabulous all the time.

THE END

Anything with the word "gay" in it...

So.... If I said 'I had a gay time picking up faggots in the park', I wasn't just having fun collecting firewood?

Bangs like a screen door in a cyclone.
