Could not agree more!! I have been an ASFer for just on 12 months and the information and discussion accross a number of subjects, not just the share market, make it well worth while logging on every day.

Having read a number of posts re HotCopper I logged on to their site recently to check what all the fuss was about. What a lot of childish and inane comments they have over there.

So to Joe, Kennas and all ASFers well done on running a very informative and sometimes a very amusing site.

Whilst everyone is doing a bit of back slapping, I'll say it's very nice to be able to put your 2c worth in and have it considered. It helps temper your thoughts and makes for a series of fun and informative discussions. The range of people's backgrounds makes all the threads I've read most enjoyable to be a part of. Keep up the good work. I love this site too.

I've had a look at a few other sites, but I seem to be spending most of my time here lately. Good work Joe and the team.

There are some extraordinary people, with diverse talents here and I for one am indebted to them and their informative posts to broardening my knowledge.

And also to the class clowns (I'll refrain from nameing anyone, BIG BWACULL and Sam and co : ) who help make it all fun.

Same here, but as with every great project there is some background hard work of the owner and the mods almost unnoticed.

Just a question do you background family still have much policing work?

I recently joined HotCopper to see what it was like. Do they have any rules at all? Just wondering how they operate (not that I'm planning to jump ship or anything!). All ramping?

Absolutely a necessity for investors/traders. I would say that this website is better than HotCopper. I found a lot of professional traders here with very wide knowledge in sharemarkets. Forum serves its purpose to have people posting their opinion and advices. And ASF is certainly the best forum for ASX stocks. Cheers to the mods.

Thanks again for all your praise everyone. I'm very humbled.

In my opinion there are three reasons for the success (and the quality) of ASF.

1. From the very beginning when this forum was a dozen or so people chatting amongst themselves my primary focus was always on creating and nurturing a positive and helpful community. Since then it has gotten quite large (you may have noticed ) However, the health of the ASF community is still my primary focus, and always will be. The other forums can have the rampers and the troublemakers. I don't want them here.

2. The mods. I don't thank them enough, but they know how much I appreciate them. I simply couldn't run the site without them. These generous individuals give their time selflessly, on a volunteer basis, while they are at work, trading, or otherwise trying to earn a living. They do it because they want ASF to remain a quality forum. For that they will always have both my respect and full support. I hope you will give them your support as well!

3. All of ASF's great contributors!

By the way, there are some changes in the wings for ASF this year. The site is finally getting a much needed facelift... but more on that later!
