I'd like to see a sub-forum dedicated to the best threads of this site.

[like seen on other forums]A name such as;

Classic Writings,
Forum Gold
Best of ASF

There really are some great threads out there, and great single posts that have helped me greatly, but unfortunately get buried as time goes on.

an example would be, TH's nothing to something scalping thread.

Julia started a very funny thread about electrical plugs.

Gee whiz, Prospector, now I have to be embarrassed all over again.:D

Actually I don't think it was as funny as the thread where I was trying to find a home for a German Shepherd. Remember the hilarious exchange between The Analyst, myself and others?
For anyone who hasn't read this, it's pretty amusing.

Well beerwm - I thought yours was a good idea. But not many takers.

Anyone else with nominations for the best threads on ASF?

=(

yeah it didnt quite catch on,

i was thinking big actually... like a sub forum - with classic writings.
-opposed to this thread just sinking into the backpages.

The important thing is that the thread held on long enough for Timmy to post those gems.... Onya Timmy.

an archive section would be a good idea. the board has a ratings feature so high rated threads should be moved to the archive section. it would also free up sticky space so mods could be more sticky happy for short term relevance. once a high rated thread has been inactive for a month then it could be moved so active threads can keep on churning (like the property price ones with all their associated angst and vitriol)

mmmmm vitriol

Well, maybe it will be a sleeper, and depending on the response it might make it to sub-forum status (but not looking too good so far!).

Anyway, another for the list:

You're not smart enough

The threads I have nominated are, of course, my own personal choice and there are many, many threads on subjects like options, system development, money management, and more, that could be listed.

lol, that's the first time I've read that thread. Don't worry Julia we all do things like that at some stage, but that is a ripper:p::D.

Has always surprised me that Frank doesn't get more attention for his work. Just goes to show individuals are really only interested in following the crowds in the well trodden path to failure. :p:

So anyone looking to understand how/why markets move and when to trade them this is the best of the forum,

I'm also surprised Frank doesn't get more attention. I think at first it all looks a bit complicated but it is actually quite simple, his book is well worth reading imo.

I have found his channels one of the best ways of clearly defining a trend.

Well, it did teach me something about not going stomping back to the retailer full of outrage at their shonky product! The teenager behind the counter was very polite in the face of my stupidity.

Was reminded of this thread, another personal choice from me as being one of the Best on ASF:

Scalping Aussie stocks

Why would anyone pay to learn about options when you have threads like the one linked below (and many others) around on ASF? You don't even have to read anything - its on video for you!
Thanks WayneL
